Notes:

*
The MBS items behind these prices have many restrictions on eligibility, and they may possibly not apply in your case.
**
MBS support for Health Assessment is very inconsistent and there is a high probability that Medicare will not allow an MBS benefit in your case. We already have pre-determined a discount for concession-holders. If the fee for this Health Assessment would cause financial hardship for you, we can discuss options.
***
The 'quick' verison is no less thorough, but some people will just get through it quicker, and we pass this saving on to you.

Other Clinical Items not Requiring Attendance

Note that none of these items:

  • attract an MBS benefit; nor
  • have concessional prices available.

We will take a deposit before asking Dr Bullock to provide them. Should Dr Bullock not be willing/able to proivde what you have asked for in the timeframe you require, the deposit can be refunded or applied to another account.

Dr Bullock makes herself available during sessions in scheduled clinics, around her other commitments. As the saying goes: "your failure to plan does not constitute my emergency". To get Dr Bullock's time outside of the next available slot in a session to meet your deadline, is considered an 'Urgent' request. Dr Bullock is under no obligation to agree to turn around any 'Urgent' request in a specific time, and if she does so agree, the fee will be higher because of the interruption.

Request a Referral

WhatNotesUrgentNon-Urgent
Send an in-date referral that's already been written, as-is, to anywhere. This is simply a special case of a making an extract of your medical record, and can be done by recepiton without involving the Dr.$20
Refresh and resend a referral which has expired. The Dr may agree to this in exceptional circumstances. Most specialists will tell you if the appointment falls outside the referral's validitiy period before you turn up. Don't wait until the day of the appointment to get a new referral or you may find that Medicare will not help you for the specialist's fee.$65$35
Modify an existing referral in some way and resend it.The Dr will not usually agree to this. Back-dating a referral is illegal. Except in some public-hospital contexts, the specialist you see need not be the one named on the referral (just the same speciality). The address on the referral doens't normally make a difference either. Our staff will happily argue with the specialist's rooms if they are insisting that the referral needs to be changed, because they are probably wrong.$65$35
Write a completely new referralThe Dr will not usually agree to this without an attendance. The decision to refer belongs to the Dr, and she will normally have already discussed it. You are welcome to see any speicalist you wish, but Medicare won't help you out unless a GP really thinks it necessary. This situation would only be considered if you began a series of treatment with one specialist and for some reason won't continue with that specialist.$65$35
